Information about your rights
If the flight was postponed, late or cancelled due to irresistible circumstances (force majeure) or due to reasons, which are not related to activities of a company. For example:
- Unfavorable weather conditions, natural calamities (for example, eruption of volcano Eifyadlayekudl in Iceland in 2010);
- Shortages in the airport operation;
- Terrorist acts or military actions;
- Trade union strikes;
- Technical disorder of the aircraft due to the production deficiency.
Amount of a monetary compensation may be curtailed if you agree to accept our compensations offered by a company, for example, a gift coupon or discounts for another flight.
If you have accepted similar compensations from a company you should notify it about that when filling in an application.
If the flight was postponed for over 3 hours and a passenger has agreed for another flight a company may cut off amount of compensation by 50%, however, it can do it if only difference between the time when a passenger must have arrived to the site of destination (according to information about a flight bought) and that of the time when he/she actually arrives to the site of destination, makes up less than 3 hours.
Provisions of the Regulations are valid in all countries of the European Union.
In this case the European Union includes 28 states members of EU as well as Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Reunion, Mayotta, Saint-Martin (French Antilles Islands), Azores islands, Madeira, Canary islands, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland.
